The Receptionist answers every call on the first ring. In fact, the system can answer multiple calls simultaneously. It greets every caller with the same consistent message:

"Welcome to XYZ Company, please say the name of the person or the department you would like to speak to?"

The Receptionist then directs the call to the right person or department. You can have multiple IVR levels to make sure the call reaches the right area every time. This feature can also be used internally so that staff can be connected quickly to other staff without having to search an intranet or printed list.

If the call remains unanswered the Receptionist will take a voice message and email it as a sound file to the recipients email. This is ideal for businesses with mobile staff as they can check their messages anywhere they have internet access, you can also dial in to hear the messages at anytime.
