Organisations need an easy way to keep track of Timesheets for their employees or contractors. Delacon has come up with a way to automate the process, such that the organization no longer needs to do any manual entry. Today, many organizations capture this information through form filling or people calling the Human Resources Department to make enquiries - both of which increase workload. In the first instance HR take calls that could otherwise be managed by the employee a process that provides full tracking and data capture can replace them while form filling. Delacons solution, available using both VoiceXML and Internet, allows an organisation to provide employees with the ability to complete everything from a timesheet through to a change of address by simply speaking into the phone, or filling these details out over the internet. Timesheet allows the individual to control the process - which in effect has not changed, it has just been automated. How it works An employee calls in, and is greeted at the front end by Timesheet receptionist who then provides them with a range of options - they could be "Lodge a timesheet for this week", "Change a prior timesheet" or "enquire on my timesheet quotas". The employee simply speaks into the phone to make their requests and Timesheet will then ask them for their name (or employee number) then verify this by asking for a password. The call will then proceed to the customers request - at this point they have chosen to lodge their weekly timesheet over the phone - again, by speaking into the phone the employee provides the details of their timesheet, such as date and time they worked. They then ask Timesheet to lodge it - because Timesheet is able to backend into existing databases, it will then lodges the employees timesheet data into the HR system and the employee will receive confirmation that it has been lodged. The employee's manager also receives the confirmation and can they then call into Timesheet to confirm that it has been accepted.
